Admitted Design, Construction and Professional Organization Member

This category of membership is for Design, Construction and Professional Organizations worldwide (e.g. engineering design companies, architectural firms, contracting firms, etc.) that have demonstrated interest and strong design and construction activities in the subject of the seismic performance on non-structural elements.

Benefits of design, construction and organization membership include the following:

Voice on the Board: There are eleven directors, which make up the SPONSE Board of Directors. The board is comprised of eight elected Research Organization Representatives, selected from the pool of representatives of the member research organizations, and three Industrial/ Design,  Construction and Professional Representative Directors appointed by the Board.

Information Dissemination: SPONSE works with each Design, Construction and Professional Organization to prepare information on the organization’s design/construction activities. This information is disseminated by SPONSE via its website and other printed materials such as the SPONSE Annual Workshop Program.

APPLICATION TO BE AN ADMITTED DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION MEMBER

Designate a SPONSE Representative and Provide Self-description

Each Design, Construction and Professional Organization Member has a Representative designated by its President (or the person occupying the most similar position). The application should include a cover letter or letters signed by these two individuals, along with a description of the activities of the design and construction professional organization in the seismic performance of non-structural elements.

List of Individual Researchers at Admitted Industrial Organization (part of industrial organization application)

The initial Design, Construction and Profesional Organization Member application should include a list of potential applicants whom are interested and qualified in Individual Design, Construction and Professional membership. Applications for Individual Design, Construction and Professional members at the Design, Construction and Professional Organization applying for membership should be submitted at the same time as the Design, Construction and Professional Organization Member application. (Subsequent to the admission of an design and construction organization, additional applications for Individual Design and Construction Professional memberships may be made at any time.) Individual Design, Construction and Professioanl Member applications should include their contact information and a two-page curriculum vitae (CV) for each candidate. If an individual’s significant accomplishments and interests are not fully reflected in the CV, the letter may include additional brief description.
